Imaginarios del espacio exterior: el fenómeno de Star Wars como construcción de nuevos mundos posibles

El presente artículo analiza el fenómeno de Star Wars como parte de una cultura global fluida y desterritorializada. La tesis principal argumenta que Star Wars constituye un ejemplo representativo de la construcción de un imaginario del espacio exterior creador de mundos posibles en Occidente. La mejor manera de entender tales imaginarios es el análisis de las prácticas colectivas que genera. Por esta razón, el texto describe los dominios performativos, organizacionales y de experiencia que ocurren en las convenciones internaciones de Star Wars y en las prácticas de los diferentes clubes de seguidores en México.
